ABOUT
Yao is a documentary photographer and an alumna from The Glasgow School of Art, Communication Design (BA). Her work is deeply rooted in the explorations of the human condition as she records the social and physiological issues of our world today. Taking cue from mankind’s relationship to nature and their environments, her most recent work dives into the peaceful yet forbearing mountainous landscapes of Niigata, Japan.
