About The Series
These cyanotype series of prints evolved from the need to #stayhome amidst the pandemic. Plucked from my garden, the overgrowing weeds are an awful sight to the garden amidst it's lushious well-groomed plants.
The gentle way that the weeds flow on the print are a disguise to it's strength it possesses. Weeds don't die easily. They grow in all kinds of environments. They spill out and consume life.
The prints on cyanotype medium hopefully reminds you of the wabi sabi way of life. Accepting and treasuring the imperfections and the simple life. Presenting beauty with open eyes and an open heart, and experiencing life with all the senses.
No two cyanotypes are the same, from coating to exposure under sunlight, to having the edges crinkle and warped from drying them. Handmarked, blue stained, and natural brushstrokes that spill out the edges.
